Established in 2005, Samata Foundation is committed to the holistic development of underprivileged and unorganized sectors of society. Registered under the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950 and the Society Registration Act, 1860, our organization works tirelessly to empower marginalized groups including construction laborers, migrant workers, domestic workers, Dalits, and economically backward communities.

FOCUSED INTERVENTIONS

93% of people in India work under unorganised sector, where there is no any social security, these people are generally economically backward and suffer from lack of education and awareness. These people generally also lack awareness with respect to preventive measures to be taken while engaging in to various hazardous work conditions. 

Since the year of its inception, Samata foundation’s primary focus and concern is to bring awareness and educate people from various unorganized and less privileged sector including labour from unorganised sector; viz., construction labour, migrant labour, domestic workers, Dalits, economically backward people etc., of their legal, fundamental rights and works for their empowerment.
